Ticketmaster Win Big At Ticketing Technology Forum 2016
The leading innovators in the technology and ticketing industry gathered in Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse last week for the annual Ticketing Technology Forum. We’re excited to report that Ticketmaster won big on the night as we swooped up two awards.
With one win for our very own Sam Isles (VP Artist Services) who picked up the Executive of the Year Award. Sam’s experience and stellar career is spanning nearly three decades across the live entertainment industry.
The win was followed by the coveted Best Product Innovation Award for our visionary Collector Ticket. Collector Ticket was rolled out just last year and allows fans to upgrade their tickets to beautifully designed tickets to keep and collect. The award was collected by our very own Peter Quinlan on behalf of Phil Jennnings, Melanie Schinck, Nigel Barrett, David Smith, Francois Thominet and his French team, who were all the innovators behind the idea.
Introducing: Ticketmaster’s Collector Ticket
The Ticketmaster Collector Ticket is a premium, high quality, physical ticket which acts as a collectable souvenir for fans to keep. Fans are offered to upgrade their tickets for participating events during the checkout on Ticketmaster’s website.
Keeping the ticketing experience unique for fans, this innovative idea was launched in 2015 and has since sold in excess of 140,000 Collector Tickets across Ticketmaster’s European markets.
During the 2016 Ticketing Technology Forum the forum panel described it as:
A great product which fulfils the demands of customers who want the convenience of digital ticketing but still want that unique souvenir ticket. –Ticketing Technology Forum panel
Ticketing Technology Forum
The respected awards are decided by an online ballot of the global ticketing industry. The forum brings together the brightest ticketing technologies from across the sectors of sport, performing arts, concerts, cinema, festivals and visitor attractions.
Bringing the best innovators of the market under one roof to meet, present and talk new opportunities together.
Ticketmaster was honoured for its culture of support and development. In an ever-changing technological world, Ticketmaster are delighted with our never-ending efforts to innovate and be at the forefront of change with digital and e-ticketing technologies.
Congratulations to all the winners!
