Introducing: Boxed In
The latest in Headliner’s Introducing series, say hello to Boxed In and the catchiest single you’ll hear this week.
Ironically, the latest single from London quartet Boxed In, aptly named Forget, is anything but…
The alias of record producer and singer Oli Bayston, this truly unforgettable, synthy disco romp packs a heavy punch. With a brilliant, and consistent repetitive hook throughout, it’s just the latest electro-pop belter from a band who can successfully transport you from your desk job to the dance floor in seconds.
When asked about the track, front-man Oli told an interview with Noisey:
“Forget is another conversational with my inner psyche. It’s my conscience allowing me to forget a period in my life I’d rather leave behind…”

Thinking outside the box
Their unique form of dance rock is crisp and decisive, and as accessible as it is sleek.
If that’s not reason enough to get to know Boxed In, the band released their second LP, Melt on September 23 via Nettwerk. Preceding it’s release they dropped the album’s lead single, Jist back in July. Sporting a much more familiar electro-beat, the song has an air of Mylo’s Drop The Pressure.
Written and produced primarily by Oli, Boxed In’s tracks feature additional band members Jack Benfield (synth/guitars), Liam Hutton (drums) and Mark Nicholls (bass).
